I Made My Own Journal
One early memory that has been imprinted on my mind was when I was around 7, I would cut up my dad's notebooks to A6 size, then glue a pretty cover that I made on top. I would then sell my handmade notebooks back to him. I felt like the best business woman ever!
Over the years I have made several handmade journals out of scrap pretty papers that I have collected and began cultivating a habit of writing every single day.
As I experimented and began to mature in my writing and routines, I have found certain elements that I would like to add to my journals. I have so many ideas of different types of journals that I want to make and thought I would share them with other journal lovers as well as those who want to get into journaling.
Having a hardback cover was always a dream of mine since I began making journals and now I finally have the first of many!
Into The Heart of Me is my first ever hardback journal that is filled with over 180 prompts to aid in your journaling journey. It’s perfect for those who are new to journaling and those who want to try writing new things.
I spent a long time handwriting each prompt, asking myself what sort of things would I like to write and how that will help me and others.
Into The Heart of Me is available for purchase here.
Into The Heart of Me is a way for you to get closer to yourself, to be introspective and reflective. It also allows you to take some time to organise your thoughts as well as be a little creative.
Here are a few prompts from the journal for you to try as we begin 2026:
By the end of today I would like to have gained…
I no longer believe…
Ways I can focus on progress over perfection
Next month I want to accomplish…
A poem about the stars
I hope you have fun with these and Happy New Year!
