All My Books Are Based On Real People

Every book I have ever written up until now has all been inspired by people I know. Each character or expression I write about includes either some of their personality or physical characteristics but mostly, it incudes things we’ve either said to each other to things I would like to say.

This isn’t about every page, but some paragraphs are so loud that they almost feel like a personal diary.

Sometimes I wonder if they ever read it, will they recognise themselves embedded into the fabric of my words? Will they see themselves in the way that I see them and be able to recognise themselves?

The only book I will never wonder about though, is the novel I’m currently writing as I don’t know any of the people that inspired some of the characters personally. Those people also have no idea that I even exist apart from one. That one being me.

I always find myself woven into each of my stories, but I guess that makes the most sense. The things I write, paint and create are a window into my inner world. How can I expect to erase myself from the work that was born from me? I do however question if I’m writing who I really am or who I want to become.

The people that I’ve known, know and who I want to know will forever exist everywhere, but also within the pages of my books.
